Her Excellency Ambassador Arikana Chihombori-Quao is a medical doctor and the Founder and President of the African Diaspora Development Institute.

She is the former African Union Ambassador to the United States. Since her departure from the African Union, she has been finishing her forthcoming book and speaking about her work with the African Diaspora Development Institute (ADDI).

Prior to her appointment as Ambassador, she practiced medicine for over 29 years, mobilized African health professionals to address healthcare needs, and advocated for the safety and wellbeing of all, specifically women. Her Excellency has also been actively involved in various programs and projects of the African Union.

Previously serving as Chair of the African Union-Diaspora African Forum Americas (AU-DAF), and the African Union-African Diaspora Health Initiative (AU-ADHI). In this role with the AU-ADHI she was involved in mobilizing the African Diaspora health professionals to assist in addressing the healthcare crisis on the continent of Africa.

Her work with the African Diaspora Development Institute was born out of the desire to bring Africa to the world and the world to Africa. There currently is no one resource to easily find information about Africa. ADDI aims to become that resource. ADDI is the bridge between the African Diaspora and Africa. Its mission is to mobilize the African Diaspora to participate in the development of Africa, and all people of African descent living outside of Africa.

She lectures about the outcome of the divisions on the continent of Africa that were made. She sees these divisions as a cause of some of Africa's problems that are still in effect today. She seeks to reunite African countries and the African Diaspora.

Sisto is a Real Estate & Finance Consultant who arrived in Australia in 2010. He came with nothing but a suitcase full of dreams and great ambitions for the future. Although encountering many challenges along the way, he kept reminding his younger-self to “dream big” and to remember that the “sky’s the limit”.

Edem Dokli has worked in the financial services recruitment industry for close to 2 years, ultimately gaining experience in headhunting, business development, sourcing, and recruiting at a variety of levels. As a Financial Services Recruiter, Edem takes pride in ensuring that candidates and clients are a strong match for one another – “I’m passionate about building people's careers rather than simply finding people jobs”.

Outside of the office, Edem is very passionate about giving back to her community and is the founder of an organisation called ‘We are the Movement’ which focuses on providing access to social services for people of Colour. These services include employment, education, mental health, legal assistance, financial, and youth programs.

Rider works as a Financial Advisor Support with a Boutique Wealth Management firm. She also has a background as a Social Media Coordinator, working for organisations such as 10 Lessons Learned, The Professional Development Forum, and the Not-For Profit organisation called The Helmsman Project.

The Helmsman Project was an organisation working with young people to help them realise their potential and become leaders of their own life. Over the years Rider has developed an enthusiastic curiosity for personal development and now being in finance this has shaped her focus on building the capacity of young people within finance.

Currently as a Professional Mortgage Broker, Jesse’s main goal is to help guide his clients through the home buying process with care, efficiency and attention to detail. Tigist (She/Her) is an Ethiopian who was born in Sudan and came to Australia as a child under the humanitarian program. She trained as a Counselor and has experience working in the public and private sector, including advisory roles in various levels of government. Tigist has strong grassroots connections with diverse communities, with expertise in workforce development and consulting.

In 2018 “Pola Psychology,” was founded by Nasalifya Namwinga, Tigist Kebede joined in 2019 and together they established Pola Practice Pty Ltd in 2021.

Tigist Kebede employs trauma informed and intersectional frameworks into her practice and advocacy. She specialises in working with adults with particular interest in culturally responsive clinical practice. Tigist has experience working forensic, non-profit and health sector. She has a history with working with racial trauma, sexual assault, family violence and refugee trauma. Tigist is able to use a variety of therapy approaches, including Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Person Centred Therapy, Trauma Focused Therapy and Attachment theory. Through collaborative discussion and an understanding of her client’s needs, she provides inclusive and responsive care to people from a wide range of backgrounds.

Machehi Is a project Manager and Arts practitioner, Machehi Komba is experienced in implementation and oversight of government funded projects across local and regional areas of Victoria.

Machehi also has a wide experience in working as a social support worker and knows firsthand how a lack of financial literacy can affect children and adults mental health.

Nicholas Is a mental health nurse and co-founder of Recharge Wellness, an online psychology clinic. He has over 5 years clinical experience working in both public and private sectors providing support to clients all across the lifespan.

Gracious Is an award winning finance advisor with more than 10 years’ experience within the Australian banking sector. She is an experienced mortgage broker having worked for a major banking corporation for almost a decade, and she is also an astute property investor with a wealth of experience in property investments.

Gracious migrated to Australia 14 years ago and understands how challenging it can be for an immigrant wanting to secure their financial future through property investment. Having gone through the process herself, Gracious is fully equipped to assist people who have migrated to Australia to achieve the Australian dream.

Sanders Is the Founder and Director of Msisa Property and Consulting and Msisa Property Developments. He is also the author of “The 10x property system – How to Amass 10 properties in 10 years and retire comfortably”.

His determination has led to him acquiring 18 positive cashflow properties in different states of Australia and he was able to acquire 15 of those properties in under 10 years using “The 10x property system” property.

She has a strong sense of community and social justice, and gets to flex that as a committee member of the Black Music Alliance Australia. She is kept grounded by her South African roots, two beautiful daughters and love of mountain biking.

Rita Is a mother of 6 and a property investor specialist. With years of experience in the property industry Rita’s passion is to make first home buyers as well as property investor’s dreams come true.

She strives to ensure that the buying process is fun easy and stress free. Outside of her passion for property, Rita enjoys cooking, selling and renovating homes!
